Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung made the statement yesterday while meeting with New Zealand Minister of Defence Jonathan Coleman in Ha Noi.
He noted that the friendship and co-operation between Viet Nam and New Zealand was continuing in all fields, bringing practical benefits to both countries and contributing to regional peace, stability and development.
For his part, Coleman said that New Zealand backed Viet Nam's participation in the United Nations' peacekeeping force and ASEAN's implementation of the Code of Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (COC).
